Was jewel of the feint completed removed or just removed from the shop in Base Camp?

No it was not removed. It is now a drop item only I believe. I got mine in the test of the spheres

I just got one yesterday from a fire boss in the crab empire I think. Sry I don't have more info on it I only got it because my friend asked me to help her.
