I heard that you have to defeat a younger death version of her that is obsessed with Mammoths. The boss at the end of the dungeon is called Pendragon I think...

Sorry that I didn't mention the Zafaria bit. Managed about 2 weeks ago to get past Zafaria and claim the Wicked Cold Clothes (70) in her boss chest. If it hadn't been for that gem, I wouldn't have gotten so far in Avalon.

And the help of stronger wizards, or wizards that assisted me in getting further in the game.
