Avalon Swords and Staffs

Why do the Avalon staffs have the attack action of a sword? Can this be fixed?

Plus how come the Avalon myth sword and staff are the only ones that have a cool glowing effect? The myth staff is called the Anterled Staff.

I think all the other schools swords and staffs should have the same glowing effect. Who is with me? PLZ Kingsisle.
