Wizard101 Comic Caption Contest
Official Rules
NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN.
Eligibility: Open only to residents of the 50 United States and D.C. who are registered members of Wizard101.com at the time of entry. All Entries must be submitted in English. Void where prohibited.
How to Enter: The Contest begins on or about December 22, 2009 and ends on January 11, 2010 (the “Contest Period”). Limit one entry per Wizard101 account login. By submitting an Entry, entrants agree to these Official Rules and to the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all respects. Entries become the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be returned. Entries including unsuitable content will be disqualified. Submission grants Sponsor and its agents the right to publish, use, adapt, edit and/or modify such entry in any way, in any and all media, without limitation, and without further consideration to the entrant.
Winner Selection/Judging: All submissions will be judged by a panel of judges based on creativity and originality. Judging will be completed on or about January 15, 2010. The highest scoring entrants will be declared the winners as follows, subject to verification.
Prizes:
1st Prize (one winner) - 7500 Crowns and your comic displayed on the website
2nd Prize (three winners) - 5000 Crowns each
No prize substitution, cash equivalent or assignment/transfer of prize permitted. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should the advertised prize become unavailable. Winner is solely responsible for applicable federal, state or local income taxes on prizes.
Winner Verification: The potential winner or their parent or legal guardian will be notified by email to their email address on file, with instructions on how to claim the prize. If the prize notification email is returned as undeliverable, or no response is received within 7 days, the prize will be forfeited and may be awarded to an alternate winner.
General Terms & Conditions/Release: Sponsor assumes no responsibility for computer system, phone line, hardware, software or program malfunctions or other errors, failures of any kind, delayed computer transmissions or network connections that are human or technical in nature. Sponsor is not responsible for incorrect or inaccurate capture of entry information whether caused by entrant or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest. By participating in the Contest, entrant agrees to release, hold harmless and indemnify Sponsor and the Contest Parties from and against any and all liability for any injuries, losses, harm, damage, claims, costs and expenses (including without limitation, all attorney’s fees and court costs) arising directly or indirectly from or in connection with entrant's participation in the Contest; acceptance and/or use/misuse of the prize; or any use of story by Sponsor or its agents. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, modify or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or other cause beyond Sponsor's control corrupt the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper play of the Contest.
