You get in Krok, I forget which but it is either finishing Sphinx of Temple...pretty sure it is Krokosphinx you get it (and a party +10% accuracy boost for the Temple)
Hi you get your life blade at the end of krokosphinx main story (back to balance) somewhere around level 21-22 which is nice because you can also learn your life trap at lvl 22 from the secret teacher in colossus blvd :-) Her name is Mildred Farseer and she is to the left of Mindy down some stairs.
