I was recently asked to hatch my scarecrow (I am a death wizard) with another pet. Hatching pets is new to me for I have never hatched a pet. My question is this, if I were to do this, would my scarecrow be lost never to be recovered?

No, your original pet will remain in your backpack :)

no of course not if you have 2 adult pets and you are hatching an egg then a baby pet comes out and no pets will be deleted.same if you are hatching a pet with your friend . but your friend will get a pet and so will you

No, if you hatch a pet you can keep the pet(s) you hatched it with, along with the egg.
