This is probably a dumb question, but, if you hatch a pet with a jewel that gives a selfish talent, (For example the +65 strength jewel) and hatch with another pet. Will the stats of the jewel be taken into consideration of the stats of the hatched pet?
No, jewels don't have any effect on hatching. You will always get some combination of natural talents from the parents pools and either high, low, or middle (rounds down) for each attribute.
