When you level your pet in the Pet Pavilion by playing the minigames, does using a XP Boost/Major XP Boost affect your pet's level. This would be nice to know, since I want to level my pet fairly quick.

If you want to power through and level pets quickly, your best chance is using Mega Snacks, these gives loads of experience to pets after eaten, a bonus is also given is your pet happens to like or love the snack.
As for bonus XP, Occasionally, KI has an event called "Double XP" only available to members, it doubles the experience gained by pets. So, you can keep an eye out for these.
I personally mostly do pet training on these particular days.
