best pet for a necromancer?

The wraith pet you get at level 48 is pretty good. Also, if you level the pale maiden pet (dropped by Vladimir Darkflame in the Labyrinth or bought from the crown shop) you have a chance of geting a feint card and other death boosts.

The Death School has a lot of cool pets.

The Iathine Spectre, Skeletal Warrior, Fierce Hound, etc. You have a lot to pick from! :-D

My choice would be either Fierce hound, or the Iathine Spectre.

The fierce hound is an awesome pet for death. Mine has spritely, 4% pip-o-plenty, casts a death trap and deathproof.

Really, the $39 gamestop card is a good deal, just take the clothes and have them stitched into something that looks less, well, ridiculous.
