Dual Community Benefits - Two concurrent Member Benefits at the same time

1 is always selected by KingsIsle
1 is voted by the community (members-only, since they're the ones receiving the benefits) every week from a shortlist (shortlist decided by KingsIsle, so the community can't keep picking the same benefit over and over)

The idea:
  • Give the game a more community-driven feel, to make the playerbase feel like they've also got their "hands on the wheel" a bit, as well.
  • Add extra value for membership, increasing desirability of membership.
  • Help KingsIsle determine player behavior, and decide which Membership Benefits need to have more value added to them, as well as help KingsIsle determine what players have the most difficulty with or find the most benefit from.

This can help re-balance the game and help drive attention towards systems that could use improvement. If players like double pet XP so much, maybe the pet XP amounts to level up should be lowered a bit to make it less of a chore or hassle to players.

Or if monstrology benefits aren't sufficiently interesting, that they hardly get votes, maybe create something like a gauntlet that requires monstrology. Maybe create a monstrology arena, where players can fight each other with summoned monstrology minions, maybe level them up, play in tournaments, level up and customize their monstrology summons (similar to the forked-path benefits from spellements).

I only see an upside to this for KingsIsle, really. Any benefits which are too powerful to be used concurrently because of in-game economy (such as zero-Energy Fishing and double pet XP) could be completely avoided, by letting players vote first then KingsIsle selecting the other benefit second.
