Darkmoor Fish

Im having an issue with the Gargoyle fish not showing up in the Darkmoor area. Ive been fishing for hours, have used the show schools spell, and fished with the lvl 2 storm lure.

The wiki says it should drop in dark moor and in the elephant graveyard.

With this being a lvl 2 fish, many players who only have lvl 2 lures don't have the ability to fish in Zafaria because the higher level fishing spells are kinda required.,

Especially the lure fish spell. If you were able to actually walk in the water, this wouldn't be as much of an issue, but fishing from only 1 side of the stream you cannot reach over half the fish.

Not to mention that sentential fish are destroying half the spell casts. Leading to wasted energy.

Just for the simple fact that this fish is required for crafting the dark moor spell decks. it would be nice to actually be able to catch the fish in dark moor. but again it hasn't even shown up a single time for me.

If your response has anything to do with using luck elixirs, there shouldn't be any reason luck is required. especially because this isn't even a special fish, nor should it be hard to get.

I would recommend you continue your fishing quests until you learn the banish Sentinel spell at the very least. You will get that after finishing the Dragonspye fishing quests or last but one. It will come in very handy especially if you decide to fish for the code wands from the elephant graveyard or other places fishing. The gargoyle fish isn't very common at darkmoor, so you will have to do refresh the pond several times… or many times if you are unlucky.

Fishing luck elixirs or fishing luck in general have nothing to do with a fish appearing. It's the likelihood that the fish will be caught versus escaping, once you dropped the fishing lure. Whichever place you go to fish for the gargoyle, there's no easy way to get it barring good fortune. I've found it easily on some occasions and others far too many pond refreshes. Good luck

Its still unreasonable that the fish description even says it lurks in the waters of darkmoor. Therefore if you have the correct level of lure (Rank 2 - From Grizzleheim) then it should be rather simple to collect.

The majority of the fish in the darkmoor area were only ranks 1-2 anyway. Putting them into the Zafaria area is just increasing difficulty for no reason.
