so I was questing in grizzlehiem and I had the quest to defeat jotun and knowing how powerful he is I used team up. Once my team got to jotun it was a rough battle. Eventually there was only one boss left but I was out of cards and low on health so I Left the dual and came right back. I made it back just in time. I was about to cast sunbird to finish of the final boss but the storm wizard I was with cast wild bolt and that finished the job but it still says I have to defeat jotun even though I was there when he was defeated and when the final boss was defeated so help me with the quest goal.

You probably didn't get it because you "weren't" in the battle circle so that means when you joined a round was going on when the boss was going to be defeated it didn't count you in the circle because there wasn't the green thing where you were standing to show you was in the battle that round.

You fled after Jotun was killed, but before the battle was finished. That will cause any boss quest to fail. You must be alive and in the battle until the conclusion after the main boss is killed. If you flee before he dies and return, you're fine. Once the main boss is dead, but other creatures or bosses remain you cannot flee and get credit for it.

This has happened to multiple people I have been with. Many of the times, it is usually somebody who flees. I can't say this for certain but i think fleeing might cause that.

If you fled the duel when there was only one boss left then it's not going to count that you killed the Jotun boss, it's only going to give credit to the final boss that was left, which I'm assuming isn't Jotun.
