The ninja pig is a myth spell and it is a creature model in a world that is part myth and part balance, but the pet is a balance pet. So is the ninja pig a symbol of myth or balance.

They're not all necessarily "modified". The Plague Ninja is a first generation Death Ninja pet available from drops, locked chests or card pack.
