I was asked by someone to hatch a pet with him. He stepped on the hatching sigil first. After a couple of screens, it asked me for gold. I canceled the hatch process. I didn't understand why I had to pay; it was he who wanted the pet. I asked him if he had to pay too. He said yes. This time, I stepped on the sigil first and finished the process but I ended up with the pet.
1) Does it matter who steps on the sigil first? 2) Do both wizards pay for the process? 3) If so, why? Doesn't only one wizard get the egg? 4) Is there any way for me to give him the egg/pet?
