Seriously why we need a pet?

I have trained 6 pets up to Ancient level and only 3 of them add something to help me in battle. And the help is very minor ie add 40 mana or 10 health or +2 attack point.

Why can't KI make pet give us something better in battle? Not all of us use pet in derby.

They do, my guess is that you are using the lower level pets? Try to aim for pets with a higher pedigree (like the crowns pets, cl pets, etc.). You can also hatch for better stats at the hatchery, but you will probably need a lot of gold.

You don't have to have a pet, but if you work to get one with good talents they are very useful. It may take you a bit to get pets that have talents you want, but don't give up. There are some awesome pets out there. The school pets are good pets to start building your talent line. The lower level pets not so much. Check the Hatchery, you may find someone there willing to help boost the pets of a young wizard.

The following Pets have no 'Selfish' talents:
Sea Dragon (Generic, CL Drop)
Sea Turtle (Life + Spell Proof, CL Drop)
Jellyfish (Death, CL Quest Reward)
Forest Lord (Life, 58)
Scarecrow (Death, 58)
Judgement (Balance, 58)
Phoenix (Fire, 58)
Kraken (Storm, 58)
Wyvern (Ice, 58)
Humongofrog (Myth, 58)
Leopard (Fire, ZF Drop)
Nighthawk (Storm, Hawkrider Bundle)
Fierce Hound (Death, Epic Bundle)
Snake in a Basket (Balance, Mega Bundle)
Giraffe (Life, Super Bundle)
Assailing Dragon (Fire, Dragon's Hoard pack)
Utility Dragon (Myth, Dragon's Hoard pack)
Vigilant Dragon (Ice, Dragon's Hoard pack)
Nightmare (Death, Nightmare Pack / Spooky Bob / Crowns Shop)

The majority of the above listed pets have great stats that will get you far in the game. First Generation Nightmares will ALWAYS get May Cast Unicorn at Teen. Then the rest of the pedigree for a 1st Gen Nightmare is random.

Pets are not only for battle perks, they are for...
the thrill of farming
bragging to your friends
bragging to your enemies
bragging to random people
hatching
training
derbys
and much more

Lol.

Pets can give an added boost ( Health, Damage [ Maybe ], Resist, An Item Card, etc. )
