I have proven that you don't need two storm beetles to create a rain beetle. Instead you have to mix it with a different pet than a storm beetle. Plus the rain beetle is so worth it, it is EPIC. hope this helps someone.

most people shortcut it by using 2 storm beetles to make sure its a rain beetle hybrid
i got a challenge for those that just try a combo like this for instant hybrid
try it with to kind of this pet
like shardtail dragon and storm beetle
you will get either hybrid of that pet so good luck
