Points system unfair

The new points system is extremely unfair.

A person who has NO PvP gear, has never made it to commander, and is a lower level (say 25) works very hard to earn points. They may earn around 4 to 8 points each match they win. Let's say it takes them weeks to get up to Captain.

What seems to happen as soon as they make Captain is this: they are matched up with players who often have full PvP gear. This player has decided to "rank down" on purpose (we all know they do it) and they are now a "private". Their wizard level is frequenly higher, but that isn't even the main issue.

If this level 25 wizard battles and loses against just TWO of these fabulous, very experienced, "ranked down" players, they lose a whopping 40 points all in the time span of 10 minutes. How is this fair???

KI, you have made PvP tailored to the wants and needs of only the experienced players. Those who have legendary wizards, who make loads of gold in Celestia and Wintertusk just love to buy treasure cards for their "lower level" wizards so they can ruin the very hard work of others.

I am tired of working so hard to rank up only to have all my work completely erased in two battles. You take away FAR too many points for a loss against someone of a lower rank. Please, take into account the fact that players DO rank down on purpose, and FIX the points system.

A fix for this might be that a character is always treated as playing from the highest point rank it has ever achieved. Say a player reached 1000 and down ranks to 500, since the same player obviously was able to reach 1000 they should be treated as if they still had the 1000 in terms of what you lose in points on losses against them. On the other hand, because they are now at 500 that could be because everyone else has surpassed them and so wins against them should award points based upon their current points of 500.

In short... losses against a player always go by their highest attained value, while wins against a player should always go by their current value. In terms of matching characters up, their point total for being matched should be the average between their highest obtained value 1000 and present points 500, which would put this example character at 750 in terms of match ups. I think downwranking would become less of a problem like this.

It's set up strangely. Although one should lose more points for a loss than won when winning a fight, there could be a better way to fix it:

For every match lost under knight, the loss should be 12 points. For every loss at ranks captain to warlord, the loss should be 16 points max.

For wins at knight and below, you win 10 points.
For wints at warlord and above, win 13 points.

well it would take a person lower lvl than you more effort to win. and how would KI know your down ranking on purpous?
