Triple Shield

I've been thinking about how lots of schools now have large DOT spells that can defeat a wizard in pvp easily like skeletal dragon or ice angel. I thought that in the next world, there should be a trainer that trains triple shield. For one pip you could cast three (50% or 80%) shields for any school. There could also be common triple shield drops from bosses through out the world. This way you can't just finish off an enemy with one massive blow or with lots of skeletal dragon and ice angel. You would have to stragitize on how you can get around the three shields with a smaller DOT spell then go in for the big hit. This would also prevent the use of for higher rank AOE spells in a row in pvp. So even if you hit with two dragons in a row (first one takes out the shield, second one goes for the win) there would still be a third shield. This would also make people use their lower rank DOT or AOE spell more often.

Please, we Pyromancers have enough difficulties keeping ourselves alive while our DOT finishes off an enemy, without having them happily shield against all three rounds of Heck Hound...

DOT does what it does. It is meant to remove shields and keep a constant influx of damage, in return for a much, much lower straight attack power. What's next - you want the Stun off Storm Lord and Ice Giant?

I agree with Bookshelvings here.
Each school has it's own strengths, weaknesses and strategies, and this would completely override those.

In essence, this would be you safely hiding behind a wall of shields building up pips to attack while your opponent fought against your shields instead of you.

Just first cast fire elf for the shields to go away, then cast heckhound the next turn. It is ment so that you can not one hit kill the enemy with heckhound. The elf would get rid of the shields and if you cast heckhound the following turn, it would take no shields because of the first hit of fire elf and the two following hits. With triple shield, battle would take more stragity then before and limit the ability of fast kills with DOT spells.

Heckhound takes a lot of time to build. Cast more shields in the meantime, or just have them waiting in the wings. Its not like anyone can kill you with it on round one. A triple shield would be abused in excess.

Bookshelves is right I'm ice and snow angel is already weak enough, the statement kind of contradicts itself, you could strategize yourself by putting 3 shields on yourself to block a DoT, just make sure they are all the same shields. Or if you are having problems with people using DoTs use weakness its an easy way to keep the DoT doing low damage because the weakness counts more.

BUT you might have A TON of BLADES and TRAPS on the enemy. Bookshelvings is one hundred percent CORRECT!
