Best Death Pets

Hello! I am a level 54 Death wizard and was wondering what kinds of death pets would give the best kinds of talents and which to choose for max stats, damage, crits etc

The Hatchmaking Kiosk is the best place to look.

If you are looking for damage, try looking for a death pet with talents such as:

Death Dealer
Death Giver
Pain Giver
Death Assailant
Etc.

In terms of stats, place heavy focus on your strength, will, power and agility.

Try hatching with a pet with max or close to max traits in the above stats. These range from 250-255

I also recommend a pet providing a blade for starters although you're free to choose what best works for you.

I agree with everything in the post above, and I would recommend trying to get those stats on a Scrappy gryphon as, as they age up they give you a feint and a blade you can stack on your current blades and feints.
