Community! We're starting a new initiative for inclusion in each month's KI Live. Much like how we gather your questions, each month we will now be gathering your gameplay tips!

Reply to this forum thread, or one of the social posts we put up over the next two weeks, and we will select 10 tips to present on this month's KI Live. Each selected tip will receive a similar amount of Crowns as the 10~ questions we respond too.

Tips should be brief (a short sentence) and of course must be appropriate to all ages and make sense for presenting on our KI Lives. They must also not involve cheats or extensive spoilers in any way.

Only one tip per player per KI Live please. For social, use #Wizard101Tips

We can't wait to see what great tips you come up with!

Garden ASAP! Pets are very useful and gardening things like couch potatoes and evil magma peas will make the pet making process much faster and easier!

Starting in Celestia, monsters become extra vulnerable to an additional school beside their opposite. The schools form a pair of "rock-paper-scissors" triangles, as such:

Fire beats Life beats Storm beats Fire
Myth beats Ice beats Death beats Myth

So figure out what school boosts your opposite and put prisms on them.

Low level ice wizards should stock up on ice blade treasure cards, and death wizards should craft Deer Knight as soon as possible.

Refrain from selling excess reagents until you're near the maximum you can hold (999 per reagent), you never know when a recipe will require something in high demand.

Feint Treasure cards can come in very handy, because if you already have a regular and potent feint, a tc feint will allow you to use up three feints at once. A pet feint will make four. Three or four feints equal massive damage

I would say the best tip for playing Wizard101 is to predict, plan and persevere. Make good use of the shared bank; don’t just throw a good piece of equipment away because it’s for the wrong school. It may come in handy later.

Need extra gold? Farm Halfang Bristlecrown in Vestrilund. He has relatively low health (1,925) and drops gear that can be sold at the Bazaar for a nice profit!

Use more than one decks!

Have a small one with only a few charms (Blades etc) and Traps (Feints etc.), along with your own school AoE Spell tied in with enchants! - Gets the job done quickly as most quests involved you defeating mobs!

Second Deck - Use this for major boss battles. Alter it if needed depending on the opponent you face.

Treasures - Don't be afraid to use Treasure Cards! Ignore the myth stipulating that "treasures are only for the weak."
You'll find that the smarter and more clever players maximizes the use of the tools the game provides to make questing easier.

Craft - You can ignore fishing and monstrology but don't ignore Crafting or Gardening! These side activities really do pay off during the later parts of the game!

Finally, have any questions?

Be sure to visit the Message Boards and post them here. One of us will gladly be able to assist.

And! Keep your account safe! Don't distribute your account info to anyone!

Good Luck!

Hello Wizards
(DISCLAIMER: This guide involves crafting and I recommend doing every crafting quest as it will allow you to craft really good gear and it will allow you to obtain training points from certain quests that require crafting.
One of the biggest tips i have for when you start playing wizard101 is about the gear you will be using as you level up. You can always open packs to get some nice pieces of gear but this is not necessry. From level 1-29 you should be using cheap gear you can purchase in the Bazaar. Once you reach level 30 thats when things change and here begins the farming speak to Cyrus Drake in his classroom and he will give you some tasks you have to complete before going into the world of Aquilla. Once in Aquilla you will have to do a few runs of Mount Olympus until you get your full set of the Zeus Armor and the Sky Iron Hasta (A wand which you will get in the first run). You can always keep going with bazaar gear but i recommend at least doing mount olympus once for the Sky Iron Hasta Wand which gives you a powerpip at the start of the duel and 10% damage to all schools. Once you reach level 56 here is where you can to make a decision, either you start crafting your gear or you farm waterwoks once you reach level 60 (Waterworks is a dungeon found in Crab Alley, Wizard City that level 60s and above can go in at any time). You can also farm one of the 4 dungeons added not so long ago which is called Lower ZigZag, There you will find really good gear aswell for level 60. From this point on all that is left is crafting your gear as its one of the best gears you will find until you reach level 100 which then you will be able to go Darkmoor. Darkmoor is a dungeon which drops the best gear you will find up to that point and its very helpful to do it (Also you will get a spell for after completing the first 2 dungeons of darkmoor). After you keep leveling you will come to realize that some piece of gear are better and dont be afraid to make changes

Early in the game, you'll get a huge boost of power, and wont need to pump tons of gold into treasure blades, if you choose a pet that yields a same school item blade.

Pay attention! A group of individuals working together, increases success and the "fun" factor exponentially. A group of individuals who act as individuals, accomplishes very little.

Be a team sport.

You'll be surprised how lending a helping hand could make a person's entire day.

Remember, our wizards may be avatars, but behind that avatar is a real human being.

Given the preponderance of trolls wandering around the spiral disguised as wizards, my gameplay tip is this:

Always be courteous when playing.

Ask before running into someone else's battle.

Thank the wizard who just bladed or healed you.

Congratulate your teammates when you've successfully conquered that boss.

Easy Pet Training and More.

Feed your pets items in your backpack you don't want.
- Feeding pets items brings you treasure cards, gold, and sometimes points towards your pet leveling.

Carry feints! When facing a boss just use 2 different feints (regular/potent and tc) and 2 blade and use an aoe, it guarantee a kill most of the time.

Regular Whopper Aquariums

Where did the Regular Fishing Aquarium pack go? The Crown Shop no longer offers it. The only way to acquire a regular whopper tank is to craft it (chews up lot of energy/crowns). I'd like to see a Multi Regular Whopper Tank available. Why? All the other size fish have multi tanks. Consider all the types/sizes of fish in comparison to "castle item restrictions".

Does anyone know why KI did this and if they have plans for a Regular Multi Whooper Tank available?

Thanks a bunch

When fighting Loremaster you have strategy options:

1) One shot Loremaster and her henchmen.
- May require being bladed, and having a feint placed on Loremaster first.
2) One shot all the henchmen; save Loremaster for last.

- Hey why not!?!
3) Take out ice, life, and storm henchmen; in this order.
Ice casts weakness.

Life doesn't heal fast.
Storm only casts traps on you.
Why take out Ice Henchmen First?
Ice casts weakness on you and your teammates.
If you focus on attacking life first, ice continues to cast weakness on you.

And this can dramatically slow down your battle. Or worse, you're defeated and have to come back.
