*HOUSING* How to report an offensive house

There's no doubt that people everywhere LOVE the Advanced Move feature introduced with housing! It makes it 100 times easier to line up items exactly how you want them for getting out of bounds and whatnot, while also making sure those who aren't quite as savvy with glitches as the rest of us can still put together some amazing places.

HOWEVER, there is a huge elephant in the room: The fact that some people may take advantage of this system to send out hateful or vulgar messages to others that the chat filter would otherwise forbid, by moving objects in such a way that they spell out a word of phrase.

Should you run into such a situation, it's worth noting that arguing with the home owner over what is and what isn't socially acceptable at ones house is a losing battle %100 of the time. You end up getting into one of those ugly shouting matches where nobody wins, and everyone just leaves miserable and frustrated. That's not the Wizard101 anyone came to play.

Instead, a better option would be to open the "Friends" panel, click on "More Friends", and look to the bottom right corner of the Friends window. See that big button of a house with a red X over it, just above the "Less Friends" button? That's the "REPORT THIS HOUSE" button. And you don't need an active membership to use it to report a house that's offensive or trying to send a nasty message.

You'd be shocked how many Wizards don't know that this button even exists because they usually don't stick around long enough to report an offensive house; Many of them usually give a "What the heck?" and immediately leave. But this doesn't really solve the problem of these homeowners dragging innocent children to that house and exposing them to messages that their parents would certainly not approve of, through malicious use of Advanced Move. And sadly, there is no chat filter with the Advanced Move system, so the only way to keep this situation from becoming a problem is to use the "Report this house" button when the situation comes up.

Stay safe out there, Wizards, and remember: NEVER use the Advanced Move function to send out an inappropriate message! That's no way to play!

WARNING: We all know by now that falsely reporting players can result in sanctions against your account, up to and including a permanent suspension from the game. But did you know that falsely reporting houses can result in similar sanctions? The game warns you not to send in false accusations for a reason; It wastes the time of a Support worker who could be spending that time doing something much more important. Make absolutely sure that the house your reporting is breaking the games rules BEFORE you hit that Report button.
