I am not sure if this is the correct forum and apologizes but how do I stop the auto payment on my account for a short period.

Hi! From our FAQ page:

1. Go to www.wizard101.com
2. Login with your username & Password
3. Go to "My Accounts"
4. Next to the account you would like to cancel press the "End Membership" button.
5. You will be prompted with a confirmation. Press 'OK' if you want to proceed.

This will stop billing for the next term and revert your account back to a trial basis. To see when your account will be set back to trial go to My Accounts and you will see the Membership end date next to your username.

*** If there is NOT an "End Membership" button, this means the account is either already on Free Trial status or you have already ended the Membership for the account.***

Thanks for found it. Wish I did not have to do this, but lost my job so I need cut the budget in places :(

I have a question that is sort of related to the original one:

Last February I bought the one year membership, I know membership will automatically renew when the time comes, but will it be the one year or the monthly one when it does renew?

Hi! From our Support FAQ Answer on How does Billing Work:

"When you become a Member to Wizard101 or Pirate101, your credit card will have recurring charges based on the type of Membership you signed up for. For example, if you become a Member on the 15th of the month, it will renew on the 15th of each month (or whatever interval you opted for) thereafter until cancelled.

i.e. monthly Membership - purchased 2/15/10, will renew on 3/15, 4/15, etc.
6 month Membership - purchased 2/15/10, will renew on 8/15/10, 2/15/10, etc."

"4. All transactions are billed immediately! If you are currently on a monthly Membership and go through the purchase process to upgrade to a year Membership you will be billed the year price immediately and the time added to your account."

Just wondering, what happens when you bill monthly on January 31 (since there's no February 31)?
