since they no longer place the member benifits on the login page is there some where else to be notified or is it just hit and miss?

They do post it but you have to cycle through (also they generally start benefits at about noon on Fridays (sometimes Thursdays for things like pets and gardening which take longer than say reagent gathering, or fishing)
