Hi! I've been trying to hatch for multiple days in a row now at the kiosk with different pets, and I always receive the one I have already, whether it be a hydra or a brave hound. I'm wondering if this is always the result? Any help is much appreciated, thank you!

No, we don't always get back our own pets, we can get other people's and hybrids too. The chances are the same as from the hatch sigils, so keep trying and you'll get it
In my experience, it seems to be about 3 to 1 chances that I'll get back my own pet instead of the other one. Sometimes that's good (if I want to keep my pet body), sometimes it's aggravating.
Keep trying and you should eventually get the body type you want.
