Also a suggestion regarding the life spell Wings of Fate. It's a good idea, but really powered down and weak in it's current form. How about adding "triage" to the spell for every round the over time healing is in effect (3 rounds). That would be helpful (or add a shield as part of the effect).
Or how about adding more specific abilities to items for specific schools. For example, the Medics tricorder adds nothing to any healing spell (which is what it did in the tv show) or provide additional bonuses. The Wholly Mammoth mount adds a healing bonus (which I think carries over when you are indoors), even though they are put away, but the tricorder or medics decks do not. Odd.
I think Life is the most overlooked of the schools. Case in point-everyone gets a free healing spell at the start of the game, but the life don't get any freebies from other schools.
