ok, you buy a 5$ worth of crowns, get 2500 crowns..... 500 crowns = 1$ same as for 10$, and even 25$ but you get a mid bonus for buying in bulk.... but 1$ is equal to 500 crowns, that we can establish.... and then you go online to spend said bought crowns on packs and see they're 399 crowns... meaning you can purchase up to 6 with 106 crowns left to your disposal.....but why does that 99 crowns have to be there.. round it to 400, or drop it completely to 300..... 300 means 8 packs, and even with it being 400 crowns you'll left with a nice even 100... can't even argue that oh! 399 crowns is the equivalent to $3.99 .... no, we establish 1$ = 500 crowns... meaning 399 would be the rough estimate of 75 cents, do note i'm running 3 days no sleep, blame work and family, so my math and brain functionality is best of loopy, but i want the 99 crowns removed, either by adding 1crown or removing all 99

It's 399 because of an old, tired advertising gimmick called "Psychological Pricing." It's 399 for the same reason that other sales prices are always listed at "$19.99! Buy it now!"

The reason is, psychologically, humans look at the '3' and not the '99' part of the price. So they look at 399 and see "300" instead of 400 because they're too lazy to round up.

Yeah.

Well.

Some dolt came up with that idea in the 1880s or something and we've been stuck with it ever since.

PS: Psychological pricing is a real thing. You can look it up on Google if you want to learn more about it.

even then... 399 crowns is worth s much as 75 cents..... not $3.99 $3.99 is around 2000crowwns so the whole 99 doesnt make sense to me....if it was real money, sure.... but it's not.....losing the 99... i an buy 8 packs, rather than 6.. with $5... i would be more willing to buy more packs.... the only reason i saw it being 99cents is to have metal currency still usable.... $4.00 is $4.40 $3.99 is $4.39 not a big difference but means a nickel and 4 pennies are used..... that doesnt work with online, or with credit cards....... even more so when the thing im buying equates to 75 cents, that i spent $5.00 on
