I had just defeated two Celestian Remnants with a Mystic Colossus enchanted to collect their animus, and then someone else joined the battle and I fled. I then tried to fight two different Celestian Remnants, and from round one, the Monsterology icon below my cards was telling me that I had collected their animus. I don't have anything to report on what winning the battle would have brought, since the exact same person rudely joined my battle a second time, causing me to rage quit.
