Quick question about balance mages and their damage stats. When a balance mage uses a spell like hydra or spectral blast is the damage/critical chance calculated based on Balance stats or on the stat for the element of the attack?
Meaning should I be working on improving my Balance damage/critical stats etc...or my elemental ones like lightning?
Balance stats work for balance spells regardless of the damage type inflicted. The resist of the opponent uses the type of damage, but the attacker uses the stats for the school of the spell cast, not the school of the damage when it hits. Hope that was clear enough.
What you should also note that spells like the ones you mentioned (Hydra and Spectral Blasts) also benefit from the Bubble being used currently. Stated another way, Wyldfire will boost the Hydra's Fire Damage such as a Fireblade would.
