I don't really see why. This would cover most pets in the game. Many "crown" pets can't even be bought with crowns or packs they only drop from certain bosses. If you accidentally sold a crown pet, contact support and they can usually get it back for you. If you want a pet to be No Sell just lock it.

Hit Escape to open the Options menu. Choose the Gameplay Options 2 tab. Make sure Backpack Items Lock is set to Yes. Now you can Lock/Unlock anything in your backback. Locked items cannot be sold, trashed or fed to pets without manually unlocking them first. It prevents you from accidentally getting rid of things. Select the item in your backpack you want to lock/unlock, then click the Padlock icon below.
going into your options you have a thing listed as locking inventory... it's set to be off at default... if you turn it on, you can lock any gear in your inventory making it unable to be sold
