I think making V-sync optional would actually do the game a huge favor. This is because most of the playerbase is playing on relatively high spec pcs for this game and by leaving V-sync on we run into a lot of problems that simply cannot be solved. IE: high lag when in packed areas due to frames not being able to "jump ahead".
Terms Used: V-Sync: Syncs frames to a 60hz refresh rate, works great on some pcs, but has problems where 60 is the max fps and cannot raise but can easily lower.
