Nice idea, but I think the amounts are a little too much.
If these surprise contests start happening on the forums, I'm a little afraid that threads such as Falmea's trivia will quickly turn from a way to learn new things about the game into heated competition.
You can earn free crowns in other ways and KI does have many sales and benefits for crowns if you are ever looking to purchase them. This is how this game does it's real money-game money exchange and we as the players live with it. Most of us are still here anyway.
Again though, I like the idea.
