I think you should be able to get bonuses. Just imagine how much money you invested in the game to unlock all the areas? That's like $160 and we don't get a single bonus.

But a $10 one month member does!

That is 100% true. They should make it so member promotions include people who have payed money previously, so they get included in these member bonuses. They are the ones spending the most amount of money here, so why do they not get to enjoy the member bonuses.

Obviously if it's just people who has spent money, that's a little too less. It should be more...

A one year membership is $60 with a deal, so why not if we buy over $60 worth of crowns we get member bonuses also?

I've been a member continuously for seven (?) years. (It could be eight.) At $60/year, that's over $400, if it's eight, it's close to $500. That's why member bonuses are for members only. Members will, after two years of membership be spending significantly more money than Crowns players.

Membership is more profitable for KI, therefore they use bonuses to encourage people to be members. It's Business 101.

Very True. Also if a member is paying monthly for one account, they are paying $119.40 per year. Two accounts on a family account is $166.80 per year.

So as @PaigeGoldenspear correctly states, paying members are spending more for membership and in many cases buying crowns on top of that.
