In the initial battle to establish the world door to Mirage, I am unable to cast the sand grains after battling that first mob. I see the arrow count down but no "x" appears that allows me to cast the grains.

I had this same issue, and I believe coming out of the game, then back in worked for me. I tried going to the character screen a few times, which didnt work, hence the full reboot
