Just do not understand the ratio of crowns:rewards

After spending well over 60,000 crowns to try to get the 3 different sets of werewolf gear and weapons, spell and maybe a permanent mount, I got no permanent mount only 1 set of the brown werewolf gear and 2 weapons. I did get 2 permanent pets and tons of house items, timed mounts and TCs. It seems that the robe of the werewolf black and grey are just about impossible to get. Just wondering I know it was my stupidity for wasting so much on something that wasn't going to happen. Just a thought maybe your ratios are a tad off.

Thank you,

Is anyone else out there having a problem with this? Unfortuatenly I have never been one to give up and it has gotten quite costly to get 1 brown and 1 grey robe for the costume. I did manage to finally get the grey and a permanent Vine from the sets, After close to spending 90k in crowns I would hope so. Still no Black robe.

Knowing me I will use the remaining of my crowns for the month just to get something I want. Dumb me I know hate fixed incomes lol

While on paper the statistics behind the packs say your chances should increase the more you open, they really do not. You always have the same chance of getting items for each pack you open. Sometimes we are just unlucky.

I only opened 11 packs and got the black hat, the vine mount, and the pet. I think that's pretty good, though I only really wanted the gear. I don't want to know how much I've tried spending the last couple years trying to get those skates from the Christmas packs. Like you I am on a fixed income, so I will probably be waiting for pack a palooza or next Halloween to try again.

The in-game packs are just like gambling at a casino. You can get everything good in 5,000 crowns, or not get anything worthwhile in 500,000 crowns. It's random, a way for Kingsisle to make profit. Last year I did spend 120k crowns trying to get the Cat ears to no avail. but this year I got them first try. It's all luck.

Nope, it's all luck, no bad ratios. I bought 20 bucks of crowns and got a permanent thorn mount as well as tons of housing stuff and a few of the new Gloomthorn housing items. I didn't get any wands but almost all of the gray, brown and black variants of the outfit. I believe I just don't have the gray robe. I also didn't get the new pet but considering I got a mount I don't really care.

Ya, I have spent a lot of crowns on Hoard Packs before, and I mostly just get housing items, seeds, rental mounts, treasure cards, pets that don't have very good talents, and occasionally gear. In my honest opinion, hoard packs just aren't worth it.

Thanks everyone for the replies. At least I know it wasn't just me even thou I wish it had been. I hate seeing others get less then what might be expected.

Hugs and Happy Halloween,

Packs are a rigged. They are stuffed full of useless junk with about 5% being left over as actual "gear." "Rare" and "Ultra Rare" become meaningless labels that only further decrease the chances of getting the thing you want. If you really have to buy packs, stick to ones that have the least amount of useless drops and boycott the ones that have ludicrous drop pools.

There is no ratio of rewards. I posted a very long constructive critique of drops in this game including those of packs, and how to incorporate a reward system and it got a lot of feedback. But it go deleted when I made the mistake of complimenting KI on allowing this non inflammatory, constructive criticism to be posted. My mistake.
