What are some ideas to improve mini games?

I think the graphics could be better.

I cannot tell where things are and the controls seem slow.

The contrast and shading isn't that good for my bad eyesight. :) Maybe it's easier for other people. But I can't be the only player with bad eyesight?

It reminds me of old Atari games.

At this rate my pet will be level zero forever.
