Spiral History Quests

I have a theory for what the lore of Wizard101 represents and how the 3rd arc will end. But to make sure this theory is not contradicted, I need to refresh myself on everything we know about the history of the Spiral.

To this end, I ask:

1) What are the names of all the quests that tell you about Spiral history? Both main quests and side quests included. All of them, from the Grand Prophecy quest to the quest telling you about the history of Grizzleheim/Wintertusk.

2) Do we know why Grandmother Raven locked up Grandfather Spider?

I would love the idea to have all of these Lore Books in one location so that we could view them again. (Or at least in semi accessible locations like each World's Library. I wonder if they could also introduce something like they have in pirate-that includes a bunch of concept art? That would be cool. To answer your original questions... that's a bit of a tall order, but I too would also be interested. There is a start on Wizard101 Central, but they are missing some of the worlds. (Sadly, you currently can't "reread" some of the books, it's only available if you have the quest.) Anyway here is a link to that article:

As far as Grandmother Raven and Grandfather Spider- I think so, or at least partially. You'd need to look at the Tusks that Tarrack Hadfield shares with you at the end of Polaris. It's a cutscene type thing and is probably on YouTube if you search for it.

Also as far as Lore goes, you may wish to check out this conversation that Blaze Sandblade and I had a while back. We discuss quite a bit of Lore (keep in mind some of it is speculation) and I really wish I could continue those types of conversations.

Here is also another Lore thread relating to Spiral Geography and Lore... Interesting to read also...

I hope that helps!

If you read the quest dialogue provided on that page, the tusks don't say anything about Spider's imprisonment.

Also, slightly off topic but Spider wouldn't benefit from poisoning Bartleby as that is what put him on our character's map in the first place, leading us to eventually thwart his plans. Raven would benefit though, she was getting increasingly angry with Spider and she could've poisoned Bartleby with the thought of getting our help to thwart Spider. We know for some reason she cannot do it herself. At the end of Mirage, she sends Mellori to defeat Spider if we fail. If she could've done it herself, wouldn't she have just come with us?

Sorry Fable Finder,

That wasn't the one I was thinking of- The Quest is Shadows of History in Khrysalis. It has animations like the tusks so that's why I got it confused.

It doesn't really answer your question directly either, it just says that they were playing and then battling....

Hmm,

Where else do we learn about the Chaos Heart? Do Polaris/Mirage/Empyrea have lore quests?

What do you mean? Spider would benefit by harming Bartleby. Bartleby is the reason that the Spiral exists-he sang the Song that allowed it to exist after the FirstWorld was broken into fragments. Spider wants to rewrite the Spiral into the Shadow Web (that's what Morganthe was planning to do, but it was too much for her to handle and she really was just a pawn in Spider's Scheme). In order to do that he's been attempting to damage the Spiral as it currently exists and to relinquish it's hold on his Chaos Heart. (Grandmother Raven used it to help form the Spiral). Bartleby sits at the Spiral's Center and the Sky Anchor of Borealis Gemstone sits at the very edge. Grandfather Spider in my opinion was probably attacking at both ends of the Spiral in an attempt to weaken it. (In my mind Bartleby's "roots" hold the Spiral together and are the source of the Windlanes (the ethereal bands of magical energy that permeate the Spiral and are used by Pirates to travel in the Skyways and StormGates) and that destroying the Sky Anchor or Bartleby would greatly weaken the integrity of the Spiral as we know it. Probably creating some sort of Pekuliarity that would destroy everything!

I understand your thought about Grandmother Raven perhaps having ulterior motives especially given the cutscene from the end of Empyrea. I also think that Grandfather Spider wants to be on our radar. We are after all the "Child of Light and Shadow" this makes me think that we are somehow essential to Spider's plans. I mean we are the ones that released Old Cobb in the first place and have helped him in various other ways too. Also did you read my crazy conspiracy theory on why Bartleby was poisoned in the first place? It's not Spider or Raven! (Lol, click here to read it- it goes on to the second page...)

It will be interesting to see how Light and Shadow shape our character in the future...

I wonder about what raven said, about spider being essential to the spiral. Without him, the spiral would be destroyed. But my lore would be once we end up destroying spider, we have to give up our hearts and become the chaos placeholder of the spiral. But we find the strength to control it in the end.
