Okay so I had this account a while ago when I was younger, and I end up maxing out my wiz but when I was making my account I put my real age so I was only allowed to have text chat. Which is fine and all but I stopped playing the game for a while and I come back and I'm old enough to have open chat but I still have text chat... and I wouldn't really care but like you can't understand what a lot of people are saying cause pretty much everyone has open chat. Also, you can barely even say anything with text chat without it appearing red. So, I had to create a new account with my current age so I could get open chat. Sooooo I had to start all over which took forever to get my wiz back to max. Honestly, I think that when you sign up and tell them your age, your age should go up as well when your birthday comes so that way when your actually old enough to have open chat you can get it. Also, its not fair to people that made their account in like 2009 cause a lot of people playing that game at the time were a lot younger. Any thoughts on this?

Here's a copy of one of my posts on how open chat works:

It doesn't matter that you turned 18 in real life, what really matters is when you made your account, and what age you put on it. For example, if you made an account on February 25, 2017 and you put the age as 15, then you would have to wait until February 25, 2020 to enable open chat, when your account would then be 18 years old. I suggest you look at when you made your account, and try to recall what age you put down on it. If you don't remember, I suggest emailing Kingsisle. If the option for open chat is not listed under the account options area, then you still have to wait. Buying a membership/crowns will not make it show up if you still have to wait.

HOWEVER, if you originally put down your age as 12 or younger when you made your account, then that account will NEVER get open chat. The US government makes it illegal for Kingsisle to store your age if you are 12 or younger, so there is basically no age even stored on your account when you first made it if you put one of those ages in originally.

I also would have to seriously agree with what you said. The chat system is so unbelievably broken in this game, and I hate how so many people are never able to get open chat on their accounts because of how Kingsisle set it up. I feel really bad for what you had to go through, because I had to deal with Text Chat for 5 years. I can't begin to explain how impossible it is to talk to people when everyone around you is saying "..." Now that I have Open Chat, I make sure to always talk to Text Chat people in a way that they'll never have to see the "...", because I know all too well what they are going through.
