Feed pet at end of pet races

I think more players would use the pet races if they were allowed to feed their pets at the end, and the position give appropriate points towards pet leveling, 1st place 4 points, 2nd place 3points and so on.

You can already do that in Ranked Derby! If you feed your pet at the end of a Ranked Derby then you also get 2x experience!
