Should I continue raising my pet?

It's a Bolt Demon with Elemental Blade that I got from a gift card.
Problem is, it just got Gifted (selfish, +25 Intellect, +25 Power) and Storm-Giver (2% Damage).
So I dunno if I should go on with raising it or not, or if I should just start hatching it with a pet with Storm-Shot.
I'm completely new to hatching so I don't know what to do. Help please.

Never continue training a pet with more than one "selfish" trait (don't even continue training it if it has one selfish trait, unless the other traits are worth the sacrifice).
For sure, hatch it with the other pet. You might want to hatch a few more times after that too, to make sure those selfish traits don't pop up again in your new pet.

I see, thanks very much. In that case I'll just start saving up for hatching.
