Wooden Chest gives more gold than Silver?

Recently in Wintertusk I found a wooden chest I got 183 gold and a treasure card. Later I found a silver chest in Wintertusk only got 86 gold. Since Silver chests involve a puzzle to open they are made to give more cash. It is that way in other worlds (Wizard City, Krokotopia). I assume you took the silver chest from one of those worlds and put them in Wintertusk but forgot to made them more valueable (give more gold) but you remembered for wooden chest.

Thanks,

it all depends on how long the chest has been there.
