Okay, I've looked up the Deer Knight pet since hatching it, and after finding out it gives the Deer Knight pet card at adult, I've furiously trained it to adult, and upon getting adult, I get Cheeky, which isn't even that good.
What's going on? Why hasn't my Deer Knight gotten Deer Knight Rises, even though it's a guarantee?

You hatched, that's the problem. Did YOUR pet state that it would give a card at adult or did you just find it on some website? If your pet didn't state this in its info then your pet did not inherit that from the parent.
