I hatched a pure breed Judgment and Harpy and got a new Judgment pet. The problem is it has talents the parents did not have. Example
Harpy Judgment (original) New pet Judgment Extra Mana Rank 1 Pip o'plenty Rank 2 Rank 4 talent
See the parents have these rank 1 and 2 talents on the same line but the new baby has a rank 4 talent. How does the baby have a talent the parents do not?
Talents can move up and down the list, or drop out. When you mix you get some combination of the slots from both parents, but what exactly is pretty random.
So if you had a pet with 12345 and one with abcde, you might get a baby with 2ac3d or such.
