No permanent transformation. WAY to complicated and confusing.
Why not make it so that human isn't the only species you can choose from?
Be able to choose a fairy, cat, wolf, bear, pig, cow and the list continues
But i think that a fairy, cat, bear and cow would be great additions to start out with. It would make the game more diverse and "magical" in a way. But if this is done, KI might have to do completely different text. Like instead of saying "young wizard" it says "Young warrior", "Young thief" and so on.

You can still be a "wizard" and not be human, wizard just means a magic user.
