bug pets are a big thing now. since there are spider pets and bug mounts why not make a huge spider mount?

I actually like that idea. Sounds fun to ride a big spider, i think more people should consider this

A lot of people have a fear of spiders and running through the commons a running into a huge spider would probably freak them out. With spider they are very small so they probably don't mind those as much as they would a huge mount.

A Spider Mount would be a welcome change of pace to replace the giant dragons that seem to be all the rage. The army of "big cat" riders that congregate in the Commons area would also get a little competition.
As for the folks with a fear of spiders... if they can handle the spiders in Krokotopia, Celestia and Dragonspyre, they shouldn't be too freaked out about a mount.

Eh, good point but it's still a huge spider that's in there face and the spiders you mentioned are rather quite small compared to average size of a regular mount.
