There are many different ways and places to get spells. This link shows all of the spells available for the Life School:
On that link, you can click on any highlighted item for more details, like where the trainer is located, prequests or requirements for the spell quest, etc.
And don't forget to visit the "Other Trainers" and pick up your free spells too.
On that fansite, you can do a "search" and find a list like this for all schools.

You are never really done learning... there are quests for school-only spells. The spells you see with your professor are trainable by anyone with training points.
Life spells are below... a few more than you thought.
