The main thing is getting the trap in early before he starts the healing cheat and also try going for a one shot kill on him. If it means just doing a single hit on him first do it then worry about the minions after. Or if you pick up a couple power novas or ra treasure cards you can go that route also. Just blades and traps in you normal deck then the hit spell treasure cards. .
use either the Spirit Trap or Elemental Trap spells. Even if you use one of them from your primary schools, there's still 2 traps remaining to protect you from his cheat
