I agree it can be annoying. Probably, it will remain a 2-round stun.

There are lots of ways to counter a Medusa stun though:
  • Stun resisting gear
  • Stun resisting pet
  • Conviction spell
  • Stun block spell
  • Myth Dispel before Medusa is used
  • Black Mantle / Smoke Screen to make Medusa fizzle
  • Beguile the round before so Medusa targets someone else
  • Use a reduce threat spell to make someone else on your team (e.g., a minion) the target

Considering how myth has less damage-to-all spells, I think it is rather fair to give the class some advantage others don't have since all other classes at this point can easily buff and take out all enemies at once where myth players must take them out one at a time or buff a lot to use earthquake or frog. So, I don't really think stunning twice is that bad.

The point of the spell is to stun the opponent for 2 rounds. Making it one round will ruin the spell.
