Non-Combat Spells:

Ever end up somewhere where the just doesn't seem to be any wisps? Wouldn't it be nice, if there were non-combat healing spells? I think so.

There should be a non-combat healing spell you can do in an emergency that does not depend on potions. Different healing-level out-of-combat healing spells, depending on the need. And a mana generating spell, ... for if your low on mana as well, with no wisps in sight. A mana spell that would convert unused gardening energy into mana. How much would depend on how much gardening energy you have.

This is, of course, useful to those that might not care much about pet training and don't use up much energy in their gardening.

It just seems strange that all spell-casting seems dependent on being in combat. Gardening spells is a good step away from that, but let's go further and make spells that can take care of immediate needs when we aren't fighting.

Okay, ... in expanding on this idea, how about this as well?

Spells we could do to entertain friends, in Safe Areas -- or Combat Areas or wherever, even in our homes (castles or dorms). Fun spells that are only for entertainment, like stage magic? Pulling rabbits out of our hats, tricks with scarves and rings and flowers. Maybe spells that would make something humorous happen, etc. This kind of contest would probably work the same way as combat, with the spells we can do presented as "hands". And there'd be entertainment spell treasure cards that could be traded like combat spells. Activities that players could do in the Starting Areas, things nice for non-subbed kids that don't get into regular combat much anyway ...

There is a lot of potential that KI seems to have only explored a part of, tho' Gardening Spells is certainly a good step away from Combat Only spell-casting.

Oh, and here's something to build on this:

Stage Magic Contests. You enter onto a stage and cast entertaining spells for an NPC audience. They will give you a reaction on an scale of 1 to 10. You get a prize (gold, treasure cards, etc), based on the level of your finishing score.

And you can compete against another player or players, so see who gets a better reaction from the "audience". Sort of a PvP equivalent of this entertainment thing. The spells you cast wouldn't be hitting each other, but instead would be geared to getting a reaction from observers.

Maybe, there'd even be a player-version of the audience, in which you could be in the audience and grade someone's performance by giving them a score of 1-to-10, with ten as the best.

There would be a "theater" for this, perhaps located in the Wizard City Commons ...

Once more, it just seems weird that almost all our magic depends on combat. And there's much potential here.

Interesting point that we can cast health spells when we are in battle, but not at other times.

I would really like to see non-combat spells. Wizards don't just use magic for only fighting! They use it for lots of things. I think this should be added

I think that this would be one of the best things to add to the game entertaining spells and health and manna spells while not in battle. It could add so many more options for different personalities and just give you time to have fun with your friends and drop all your quests and relax.

If we were to have non combat healing spells there would be no use for potions.
