Safeguard and Deflection!

In the next arc things will probably become more advanced, even more so than a critical, here are some of the ideas I have come up with:

Safeguard!: Safeguard is a very, very small chance that you can completely avoid all the damage from a spell, not its side effects. Say someone efreets, safeguard would automatically pop up before piercing and a clear, aura like bubble will surround the player, they would take no damage but would still receive the -90% charm. There is no counter to this, but it is super rare, 5% chance at most. In the case of dots, if the safeguard pops up when the dot is put on then it is removed, but if it is already on and it pops up it only negates damage for that turn.

Deflection!: Deflection is different than safeguard, you take half of the damage from the spell and your opponent takes the other half, you split it. Say they attack, a clear, shiny mirror will pop up in front of you, and the same time you take damage, they will as well, they can critical on themselves. This can be countered though, an opponents deflection or safeguard could activate in response and cause a chain reaction. If deflection pops up when the dot is put on, a dot will also be put on the opponent, but if its already on, only the damage from that turn will be split.

So what do you think? Good idea? Questions, comments ,and feedback are always welcome!

Please no. We have more than enough stats and game mechanics now, and too much based on chance already.

Do not want.
