The crafted and farmed gear is far better than the bazaar gear once you hit level 30. The crafted gear from avalon would be good for your level, dont bother crafting azteca gear - its not much better.
My advice is to craft the Avalon hat, then get waterworks robe and boots until Azteca. Then use azteca crafted robe and boots until Khrysalis, where you will switch out all your gear for Khyrsalis crafted gear until finally reaching level 100 and farming a seemingly impossible Malistaire in Darkmoor for the (by far) best gear in the game.
